Re-Purposing Your Media

For large companies that have multiple data centers that are constantly upgrading and consolidating media, we offer a re-purposing service. Your excess tapes are shipped to our facility where they are inventoried and stored until one of your sites places an order for them. For new tapes that have been labeled and initialized, MPS will de-label the cartridges, erase the initialization, and re-label and/or initialize with the number sequence requested for a future order. For used media, the customer has the option to have them recertified. This service typically saves 80-90% over the cost of new tape.

For excess tapes that will no longer be used by any of your data centers, we will offer a fair market buy-back price.
