Defender protects your data with the hardware-based AES 256-bit encryption implemented in Cypher Block Chain (CBC) mode activated every time the USB flash drive is in use. The Defender USB Flash Drive is compatible across multiple platforms without administration or installing software or drivers. The encryption is automatic and always on without installing software or drives.  
 
Hardware encryption offers several advantages over software encryption:
