Imation's Defender Collection offers multiple methods of authentication.  The management software allows for the creation of strong password complexity policies including length, special characters, and expiration. Defender flash and external hard drives are the only product in its class that offers a biometric security option.  Fingerprint authentication is available to increase your level of security as well as ease of use.  Your unique identity combined with a strong password creates 2-factors of authentication. Just a swipe of the finger and the employee is up and running.
 
Considering the average employee maintains up to 12 passwords, the biometric option is one less password to remember. Typically one out of three help desk calls are related to password reset requests and they result in loss of productivity while the employee waits for the reset. Biometric authentication reduces these requests, offering indirect cost savings.
