Company History

Magnetic Products & Services, Inc. is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, and was incorporated in 1989.  It has been run by the same family since day one, and has made a profit in every single quarter since the beginning.  When MPS started, we strictly sold certified 9-track reels.  Twenty years later, we have developed into providing a full line of both new and certified media.  We’re consistently ranked in the Top 5 nationally, and with this history—and direct relationships with Imation, Fuji, Maxell, IBM and TDK — MPS will be around tomorrow and beyond.

Our customer base includes thousands of companies in all 50 states throughout the USA, in Canada and other parts of the world. With revenues over $28.5 million in 2008, MPS is the largest certified woman-owned business in the industry.  We hope in the very near future to have the opportunity to show you firsthand the many benefits we can provide your organization through our expertise, experience, pricing and of course, the infinitely important issue of service.

Giving Back to the Community

MPS has found several ways to give back to the community.  With our “Together We Give Back” program, a monthly donation is made on behalf of our customers to the food shelf of their choice.

MPS employees are also encouraged to give back to the Emergency Food Shelf in our neighboring city, New Hope, Minnesota.  Their donations are matched each month by MPS.

MPS is also a proud sponsor of the Pay It Forward Fund.  It was founded by MPS owner, Michelle Morey, to help patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for breast and women’s cancer.  The fund pays essential living expenses so patients can focus on what’s really important – getting healthy.   For more details, visit www.payitforwardfund.net
